Trilio Data, Inc. (hereafter Trilio) is the leader in providing backup and recovery solutions for cloud native applications. Established in 2013, its flagship product, Trilio is used by some of the largest corporations around the world.
Background to T4K
The advent of cloud computing has transformed Information Technology industry beyond recognition. Not long ago monolithic business applications ran on dedicated hardware in enterprise owned data centres. The upkeep of these applications against software and hardware refresh cycles, coupled with scaling these applications as businesses continue to grow, has been a constant battle for IT staff.
Cloud computing has alleviated a majority of these concerns. This new breed of next generation applications are built for web-scale leveraging the platform abstraction that cloud platforms provide. Although the delivery and consumption of cloud computing has dramatically improved, a new wave of application management challenges have emerged, such as; monitoring, tracing, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, data management, and data protection. Applications have scaled from a single server to now 100s of servers.
A new approach and technology are needed for addressing business continuity and disaster recovery strategies for environments that have adopted and are running cloud-native applications. Trilio's mission is to address the data protection challenges of cloud applications that traditional solutions have failed to address. Trilio by Trilio is a backup and recovery as a service tool for cloud platforms, including OpenStack, RHV, and Kubernetes.
