# Global Job Scheduler

## Definition

The Global Job Scheduler controls whether Workloads will automatically take backups according to their schedule or not.\
It is used to prevent automated backups during maintenance or troubleshooting.

## Disabling an Enabling of the Global Job Scheduler

To disable or enable the Global Job Scheduler follow these steps:

1. Login to the RHV-Manager
2. Navigate to the Backup Tab
3. Click "Scheduler Settings"
4. Choose between "Enable Scheduler" or "Disable Scheduler"
5. Click "Submit"

Already started backups will finish their backup process when the Global Job Scheduler gets deactivated after the backup job has been started.
