# Virtual Machines

## Accessing Virtual Machines

1. Log in to the T4K **Management Console**. From the left panel menu, click **Backup & Recovery.**
2. Select one of the clusters from the left panel menu, which display a dropdown menu click on **Virtual Machines**.
3. From the page displayed, **Create Backup , Create Snapshot** or take actions associated with existing Virtual Machines.

The list filters automatically as text is entered.</td></tr><tr><td>3</td><td>Scheduling Icon</td><td>This icon shows whether a virtual machine has had a schedule configured or not.</td></tr><tr><td>4</td><td>Namespace</td><td>Virtual machines are organized by namespaces, with all virtual machines within a namespace listed under its corresponding group.</td></tr><tr><td>5</td><td>Checkbox</td><td>Checkboxes may be selected/deselected to facilitate the execution of bulk actions or to create a backup/snapshot. Use the table header row checkbox to select/deselect all listed virtual machine.</td></tr><tr><td>6</td><td>Protection icon</td><td>This icon shows whether a virtual machine has Backup or Snapshot. It means it is protected by Backup and a Snapshot.</td></tr><tr><td>7</td><td>Views</td><td>View virtual machines in list or honeycomb format.</td></tr><tr><td>8</td><td>Filter by status</td><td>Filter virtual machine based on status.<br>- All<br>- Protected<br>- Unprotected</td></tr><tr><td>9</td><td>Create Backup</td><td>This button is used in combination with checkboxes. Select one or more virtual machines and click the <strong>Create Backup</strong> button to proceed.</td></tr><tr><td>10</td><td>Create snapshot</td><td>This button is used in combination with checkboxes.
